26 March 2009. This hunting season for Ranja was hunting with me, hunting with friends and a lot of game. Assi’s hunting season focussed on obedience. She is easy to train, eager to please, and a born hunter. I’ve let her carry everything I’ve shot for Ranja, and she has been more than willing to carry everything from grouse and hare to waterfowl and crows. Speed hunting March 2009 Assi joined the pack. 10.11.2008 News from the autumn 2008: Roki awarded twice in working trial (HPR, both forest and field) for pointing dogs with open class 3. Ella died of gastric torsion in October 2008. 14 Oct 2007 Results updated/Risultati aggiornati 14 Oct 2007 Roki awarded in working trial with open class 2, Ranja with open class 3. 8 Sep 2007 Ranja awarded in working trial with open class 2, Roki with open class 3. 19 Jun 2007. Photos from Italy 2007 added to the Gallery. 4 May 2007. The Riekonnaurun R-litter has been x-rayed for hip dysplasia. All three dogs got the best possible hip score A (excellent). 14 Apr 2007. Ranja received the Promising Young Spinone 2006 Award for her working trial result. 19 Nov 2006. The autumn training day of the Riekonnaurun team was dedicated to pheasant hunting headed by a trainer from the breed club. The summer training day included swimming and retrieving training for the dogs and skeet shooting and barbecue for the owners. All are eagerly waiting for the beginning of the hunting season 2007. 21 Oct .2006. Ranja qualified with Junior Class 3 in the Spinone Finnish Championship Working Trial 2006. 5 Sep 2006. Junkkari, the main working trial and show for continental pointing dogs born in the previous year, was held last weekend. Ranja was awarded in the working trial (junior class 3). Ropi (25 p) and Roki (26 p.) were not awarded. Ranja was awarded "good" in the show, Roki and Ropi got "excellent", and Roki was best of breed. 6 Sep 2006. A new section 'Results/Risultati' added for the working trial results of the spinoni in Finland. 14 Aug 2006. Riekonnaurun R-litter has passed the water retrieve section of the working trial for continental pointing dogs. 30 Mar 2006.
